IntelliOne Delivers a Market First: Live!TrafficTM Mashup on Google® Maps

Web Site Displays Traffic Congestion As It Happens On Tampa Area Streets

ATLANTA, GA USA – 4 December, 2007IntelliOne, the premier traffic information company that measures speed instantly on virtually all roadways, today announced an industry and market first: mashup of the Company’s Live!Traffic information for the greater Tampa, Florida area with Google maps. Unique to IntelliOne, coverage for the traffic congestion information includes freeways, highways and major city streets throughout Tampa-St. Petersburg. A link to the site may be found at http://demo.intellione.com/intellione/traffic_tampa.html.

“This is an important next-step in our ultimate goal of delivering personal, point-to-point traffic advice,” said Ronald Herman, CEO of IntelliOne. “Displaying live, city street level traffic information on Google maps offers a glimpse into the very near future where motorists can get precise drive times to their destinations.” “Imagine receiving a message on your mobile phone,” Herman continued, “while driving to work, a meeting, home, or any place, suggesting a different route based on traffic conditions on every possible path to your destination. IntelliOne’s Live!Traffic system is uniquely capable of supplying the street-level traffic information to deliver those time and fuel-saving suggestions.”

Residents in Toronto, Canada will be first to access IntelliOne’s TrafficAid® personal traffic advisor on both mobile phones and Web browsers through the recently announced relationship with Rogers Wireless.

According to a 2006 study by the Texas Transportation Institute at Texas A&M University, U.S. vehicular traffic congestion is to blame for 3.7 billion hours of travel delay and 2.3 billion gallons of wasted fuel for a total cost of more than $63 billion. With the average cost per gallon of fuel in the U.S. hovering above the $3 mark and expected to remain high, timing for this technical breakthrough is ideal. Another study released in March 2006 by Canada’s Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, showed the cost of traffic congestion to Canadians in urban areas is between $2.3 and $3.7 billion per year.

“As a transportation engineer, I tend to focus on how best to use traffic information for planning and operating entire road networks,” added Randall Cayford, inventor and Chief Technical Officer for IntelliOne. “A great example is studying congestion patterns around large-scale activities such as conferences, sporting events and concerts,” Cayford continued. A time-lapsed view of traffic conditions surrounding the Tampa Bay Lightning game on December 1st may be found at http://www.intellione.com/Showcase/intellione-showc.html.

IntelliOne’s breakthrough, patented technology converts ordinary mobile phone network data into highly accurate traffic congestion information. As a result, drivers may be routed in real-time around traffic bottlenecks as they occur, managers can optimize their mobile workforce, and parents can monitor their children’s safety in real-time, all via services offered by their mobile operator and IntelliOne using the Internet and their existing mobile phones.
